In addition to the full-fledged DTP and processing facilities, the Society is equipped with the following important printing and Binding machineries.
Printing
1. One Harris M-300 High Speed Multicolor Web offset printing machine imported from France
2. Four Web Offset colour Printing Machines imported from GDR.
3. Two Sheet fed Offset Printing Machines imported from GDR.
4. One Label Printing Machine imported from Japan.
5. Two HMT Sheet fed offset Printing Machines.
6. Three HMT Letterpress machines.
Binding
1. One Muller Martini Saddle stitcher imported from Switzerland.
2. Two Brehmer Saddle stitchers imported from GDR.
3. One Sulby perfect Binder imported from UK.
4. Four Thee-way Trimmers imported from GDR.
The major printing works undertaken by the Society are printing of textbooks and Lottery tickets. The Society in its present capacity can print around 20 lakhs textbooks in a month with two shifts in operation under ideal conditions. In addition to the above, the Society is carrying out the printing of various Government Department and Universities.
The Society is fully equipped with all facilities and competent to provide training in all matters connected with Printing / Binding Technology to those who seek self employment in the field.
The Printing and Binding machines available with KBPS are high speed automatic machines suitable for large volume production. Because of the huge capital investment made and high speed production required the above machines cannot be used for training purpose. Hence a special capital investment required are separately given.
